Common Questions

How do I install the browser extension?

Download ConfPass for Windows first, then install the Chrome or Firefox extension from the respective browser store. The extension connects to the desktop app automatically.

I forgot my master password — what do I do?

ConfPass uses zero-knowledge encryption. Your master password cannot be recovered by us. If you have a Secret Key backed up, you may be able to use it for account recovery. Otherwise, you will need to create a new account.

Is my data stored on your servers?

Vault entries are encrypted on your device before being synced. We store only the encrypted ciphertext — we have no way to decrypt your data.

How do I report a security issue?

Please email emre.conf@gmail.com with the subject "Security Report". Do not disclose security vulnerabilities publicly before contacting us.
